Occupational Therapists Wanted for Return to Work Rehabilitation

We are seeking OTs with experience in Return to Work Rehabilitation including job demands analyses and graduated return to work planning. The ideal candidate will also have hospital or community based experience in another clinical setting (e.g. neuro-rehab, general medical, acute care). Strong communication, negotiation and report writing skills are required. This position is ideal for experienced RTW therapists seeking to broaden their skills while continuing their practice in vocational rehabilitation with a more diverse clientele.

Position Details

Available Territories: Vancouver/Burnaby, Richmond/Delta and Coquitlam/Pitt Meadows

This community based position involves Home Assessments to determine equipment, support and attendant care needs. For clients requiring assistance in Return to Work, functional assessments, job site visits and development of graduated return to work plans also form part of the duties. Depending on candidate experience and interest, the client profile may include individuals with acquired brain injury who require assessment and Cognitive Rehabilitation to increase their independence in home, community and vocational settings. Working with funders including health authorities, insurers and government agencies, the OT will utilize Rehabilitation Case Management to facilitate client access to appropriate health services. Primary health populations include Orthopedics, General Medical and Brain Injury. Secondary health populations include Mental Health and Chronic Pain.
