Therapist Careers

Private healthcare is a rewarding and challenging setting to practice within and requires the right combination of resources, opportunities and practice culture for therapists to grow and remain engaged in their profession and chosen areas of expertise. Consider the following reasons to join our growing practice.

Why join Community Therapists?

Work-Life Balance

You control your schedule - work from home or maintain office hours. Part time to full time hours are available allowing you to design a schedule that fits your lifestyle.

Collegial Support & Evidence Based Practice

Practice group members meet regularly to collaborate and learn from one another. Drawing upon clinical experience and material from recently attended courses, each year our members deliver over 25 Lunch and Learn seminars. We also maintain a comprehensive clinical library of texts and current journals.

Access to Experts

Senior therapists are available to provide mentorship and support. Our clinical management team has years of experience delivering, developing and managing rehabilitation services. They have been accepted as experts in the BC Supreme Court, regularly consult with industry and regulatory bodies, teach in Master's level rehabilitation programs and participate in professional committees to advance the interests of practitioners and the clients they serve.

Exceptional Administrative Support

Our administrative team helps you focus on what matters most: your clients. From referrals processing to document formatting, our team ensures you get the best support to meet the demands of your practice.

Practice Management Resources

Our Virtual Office provides an efficient means to store clinical records and securely access our comprehensive clinical toolboxes over the internet. Our web based time & billing system enables you to capture your billable time & expenses efficiently and accurately. Data is harvested to generate information management reports to assist you in managing client programs and monitor the effectiveness of your interventions.

Varied or Specialized Case Mix

With practice groups in Paediatrics, Community Living Skills, Home Health, Medical-Legal, Vocational Rehab & Driver Rehab, you can design a case mix that works for you.

Professional Service Model

Client-centered services are delivered on an hourly or fee-for-service basis enabling you to apply your clinical skills in a focused and effective manner. Our practice model enables you to hone both clinical and consultancy skills.

Commitment to Excellence & Innovation

Our practice is committed to continually searching for better ways to serve our clients and their funders. A testament to this commitment is our development of Driver Rehabilitation services in 1994 and our recent development of the Cognitive Capacity Evaluation protocol. Clinical managers continually solicit feedback from practice members and funders and review current evidence to guide the ongoing development of our practice.

Skilled Rehabilitation Assistants

Where appropriate, skilled rehab assistants implement a rehabilitation program under your supervision. Our RAs include graduates of recognized rehabilitation assistant diploma programs and registered Kinesiologists. Many have been with CTI for several years. We provide RAs with monthly in-services, an education allowance, regular performance feedback and a comprehensive benefits plan. RAs form an integral part of our practice and our administration of this vital human resource ensures consultants can focus on building successful partnerships with RAs to deliver high quality programs.

Opportunities for Advancement

There are opportunities to participate in program management, mentorship, and practice development initiatives. Practice Leader, Clinical Practice Manager and Medical Legal Expert are well established roles in our practice and our mentors can guide you toward the right resources and case mix to help you meet your career goals.

Competitive Rates & Access to Group Benefits

Our rates exceed hospital and union grid scales. We leverage our group buying power to give you access to cost effective self funded (optional) health benefits.

Holiday Coverage

In private practice, taking time off can be a challenge, especially when working independently or in a small practice. However, with a large team in place, there is ample opportunity to obtain holiday coverage from your colleagues allowing you to take the time needed to upgrade your skills, travel or spend time with your family.
