Poster Presentations Accepted, MTBI 2009 Print

We are pleased to announce that Director of Clinical Services, Sue Reil and Clinical Practice Manager, Monita Khaira have been accepted as Poster Presenters by the Scientific Program Committee for the MTBI - 2009, An International Conference on Mild Traumatic Brain Injury. The conference will take place at Vancouver’s Fairmont Hotel from August 12th – 15th, 2009.  MTBI 2009 will assemble experts from a diverse group of clinicians working with clients affected by brain injury to collaborate and synthesize new knowledge in this dynamic area of rehabilitation. Monita's poster will provide practice findings for Community Therapists' Cognitive Capacity Evaluation (CCE) protocol she co-developed in 2005. It will include assessment tools/strategies, the evidence basis for assessment components and the vocational utility and implications which can be drawn from the CCE.

Sue's poster addresses Community Therapists' Functional Driving Evaluation (FDE) protocol she co-developed in 1993. Her poster will describe the assessment process, evidence basis for component assessments and the role of various stakeholders involved in the fitness to drive determination.
