Paediatric Physiotherapy @ Oakridge Plaza Print

Community Therapists is pleased to announce that Physiotherapist Julie Leswal has joined our Oakridge Plaza paediatric clinic team and will begin seeing clients beginning mid November 2009.

About Julie

Julie received her Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy from the University of Alberta, in 2001. She is a registered physiotherapist with the College of Physical Therapists of BC. Since graduating, Julie has focused her over 8 years of clinical experience working with children with a variety of conditions including brain injury, autism and other developmental concerns. She is skilled in both neurological and orthopedic physiotherapy.

Physiotherapy can help children by:

  • Improving basic mobility like crawling and transitioning between floor level postures
  • Improving advanced mobility skills such as walking, running and jumping
  • Improving balance, strength and endurance while reducing spasticity
  • Improving posture and increasing participation in age appropriate activities
