Emily Banez

Emily completed her Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy in 1994 at Pines City Educational Centre in the Philippines. Her clinical experience has included both clinic and community based intervention for clients with a wide range of disabilities. She has served as a clinical instructor and later, Lead Clinical Training Coordinator for the University of Bagui, College of Physical Therapy. After immigrating to Canada in 2006, Emily served as an instructor in the Surrey based CDI College Rehabilitation Assistant Program. Since 2006, Emily has gained experience in both clinic and community settings working with clients with both orthopedic and neurological injuries. She has completed advanced training in vestibular rehabilitation and provides community based physiotherapy in Surrey, New Westminster, Burnaby and the Tri-Cities regions for clients with orthopedic and neurological injuries as well as general medical/surgical conditions. Emily also speaks Tagalog fluently.

Joy Bremner

Joy Bremner
B.Sc. PT

Joy graduated from the University of British Columbia with a Bachelor of Science in Physiotherapy in 1994. She joined CTI in 2006 after 10 years practicing at GF Strong where she gained extensive experience with neurological health populations, specifically spinal cord and acquired brain injury. She also developed specialized expertise in the prescription of seating and positions systems and both wound and pain management solutions. Joy works with the acquired brain injury and orthopedic health populations in our home health and community livings skills programs.

Yvonne Leusen

Yvonne Leusen

Yvonne completed her physiotherapy training in 1988 in the Netherlands. She has worked extensively in private practice outpatient services in both Europe and Canada. Yvonne has provided numerous active rehabilitation programs for clients recovering from MVA and workplace orthopedic and soft tissue injuries. Prior to joining CTI in 2010, Yvonne dedicated a portion of her clinic practice to working with clients affected by neurological conditions including MS, Parkinson's and Stroke. Since joining CTI she has gained considerable expertise working with clients in their home and community environments including those affected by ABI, chronic pain and a wide variety of medical conditions. Yvonne provides activation (gym, pool) and homecare physiotherapy services for clients in Surrey, White Rock and Delta.

Kathryn Jung small

Kathryn Morse
M.Sc. PT, B.Sc.

Kathryn received her Master of Science degree in Physical Therapy in 2015 from Queen's University in Ontario. She also previously completed her Bachelor of Science in Kinesiology in 2013 at Simon Fraser University and worked as a Rehabilitation Assistant with Community Therapists. As a rehabilitation assistant she gained experience working with clients affected by neurological and physical injuries and implemented pool, activation and home based programs. After completing her physiotherapy training, Kathryn gained experience in the public sector working at Burnaby Hospital assessing and treating patients with a variety of conditions including orthopaedic, cardiorespiratory and general medical concerns. She's also worked in a private clinic setting providing exercise therapy, manual therapy, taping and use of a full range of modalities including ultrasound and interferential current. Kathryn provides community based physiotherapy services to clients in Vancouver, Burnaby and Richmond.

Steve Occleshaw

Steve Occleshaw

Steve received his Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy from the University of Western Ontario in 1997. Since graduating, he has worked extensively in both the private and public sector, providing assessment and treatment to a diversified health population that includes: orthopedics, amputees, geriatrics, musculoskeletal injuries and acquired brain injury/stroke. While working in private practice for the East Van Rehabilitation Centre he served as the supervising physiotherapist and clinic manager for a 2 year period. He also gained experience working in an insurance funded setting while practicing in a WorkSafeBC sponsored occupational rehabilitation program. Steve has completed advanced training in vestibular therapy; he joined Community Therapists in 2012 and provides activation (gym, pool) and home based physical therapy intervention for clients living in Surrey, Langley, Maple Ridge, Abbotsford and Chilliwack.

Martha Rodriguez web

Martha Rodriguez
B.Sc. PT

Martha graduated from the Industrial University of Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia in 1993. She joined CTI in 2007 bringing with her over 15 years of diverse clinical experience from hospital settings. She also has worked at the Corporacion Universitaria De Santander, Bucaramanga, Colombia as a physiotherapy clinical instructor. Since moving to Vancouver from Colombia she has worked with the MS Society, St. Vincent's Hospital (geriatrics), and in private practice (orthopaedics/neurology mix). Martha is fluent in Spanish and provides physical skills programs to clients with neurological and orthopaedic injuries.

Ranko Vukovic newweb

Ranko Vukovic

Ranko draws 4 years of diverse professional experience working as a kinesiologist with Community Therapists during which he implemented a variety of programs working with PTs and OTs. During this time, he worked with a varied health population including clients with acquired brain injury and soft tissue/orthopaedic disorders. Subsequently, he completed his Master of Physical Therapy degree from the University of British Columbia in 2015. Ranko has also worked as a research assistant for the BC Cancer Research Centre and the Centre for Hip Health and Musculoskeletal Research at Vancouver General Hospital. Ranko is fluent in Serbian and provides activation (gym, pool) and home based physiotherapy services for clients affected by orthopedic, soft tissue and neurological injuries and impairments living in Vancouver, North Vancouver and Burnaby.
